History

Harlowsave is the result of the merger of four Harlow based credit unions.  The largest of these credit unions  was established in 1988, for the benefit of the employees of Harlow District Council.  This became the nucleus of the new organisation, Harlowsave Credit Union.  In July 2003 Harlowsave formally accepted the members from Harlow Credit Union, a community based credit union started in 1980 and Parndon Churches Credit Union an associational credit union.  Harlow Co-operatives Credit Union was assimilated from October of the same year.

This one credit union, built from four, gives us a solid basis to grow throughout Harlow.
